I was thinking of leaves and a crisp evening breeze. I wound up turning this experiment into a whole song, which you can hear here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2D1D3uivCo
I had a hard time deciding if this was 'storm' or 'magic flying fortress gaining potentially dangerous power', but the latter was perhaps a bit too specific. I didn't love the melody, but I'd really like to work more with that Dsus4-Fsus4 progression.
I was picturing the blues and oranges of a quiet city as the sun has mostly set, perhaps on kind of a disappointing day.
Pizza, with friends and beer. Possibly in the 50's. A straightforward rock thing.
This came out... differently from what I'd planned.
A sepia-toned flashback to good times, for piano and flute + guitar.
An orchestral fanfare.
Lemonade on a warm afternoon sitting on the porch. Solo piano.
A weasel sneaking around doing weasely things. Flute with piano and pizzicato strings.
I think I was going for being surrounded by glass, possibly in the dark... definitely not one charming glass window. The cymbal is being scratched with a nail clipper.
Somewhat typical trumpet fanfare with percussion.
This came out sounding a bit like a level from Commander Keen, though I can't say I had associated that with roses.
Riding a breeze through an idyllic forest scene. Flute, guitar, piano, etc.
